    Sunburst Decks can build you a simple on the ground deck which requires no footers or handrails at a very low cost. I know your thinking that all decks require footers so I drove my jeep onto one of these on the ground deck steps (with no footers) just to prove it to you.You can of course add handrails and if your yard slopes you made need footers at one end. For your information a 12' X 16' on level ground treated wood deck with no trenching, footers or handrails would cost less than $1500.00 complete! That's less than $8.00 per square foot.

    Of course if the ground is not level or you want to add some different levels or rails all you need are a few footers and posts.

    Here's a complete on the ground deck with no footers but full handrails. This is a 16' X 16' deck that would cost less than $2600.00. Remember however if your ground is not level or we have to do trenching to level your frame it will cost more.
